A Rey&I swim short is made from recycled nylon and polyester spun out regenerated ocean plastics. Recycled polyester is made from post-consumer plastic bottles, which are collected, sorted, and processed into polyester fibers. This process reduces the amount of plastic waste that ends up in landfills and oceans, making it a great choice for eco-conscious brands. We have authenticated the fabric supply chain by auditing certificates and manufacturing facilities. The accessories used on the garment are sustainable too. The buttons are made from the nut of the Tagua palm. This tree grows wild in the equatorial rainforests of south America. The metal used in the zippers, buckles or hook clips is fully recyclable.
Even before the first sample garment was made, we developed fully sustainable packaging, as this is usually the place where most single-use plastic is consumed. Your Rey&I swim wear is packed in a zipped canvas pouch, designed to be used again and again. Also handy if you have wet clothes to pack. The pouch sits smartly in a recycled cardboard box that is used for shipping worldwide. We use a paper tape to seal the shipping envelope. Best of all, your order will never contain any physical invoices, labels or marketing materials as these are simply wasteful.
